My fascination with photography started at a very young age and I owe a lot of this to my father. He traveled extensively with the military and developed quite an eye for image making himself. He spent much of his free time wandering the streets with a Nikkormat camera dangling from his neck, shooting the people and places he came to know.
As a child I remember spending many evenings in the dark with only the glow from a projector watching his sometimes endless slide shows of Kodachrome film. This was my window into an unfamiliar world filled with strange and beautiful places. This exposure to photography in my early years was truly the beginning of a career making my own images and turning my passion into more than just a pass time.
After graduating from Southern Illinois University with a degree in photography, I launched my own studio in Chicago where I've built a blue-chip roster of satisfied corporate, editorial and advertising clients. I strive to craft compelling images that show more than what's in the frame, but tell you a story about the subject.
